Despite the generally negative review scores Star Wars: The Force Unleashed has been receiving, the game has sold 1.5 million copies in less than a week, according to LucasArts.
Not only is this a huge number, it sets records as the best-selling Star Wars game of all time and the best-selling LucasArts game of all time, beating out (more deserving) classics like Loom, The Secret of Monkey Island and Maniac Mansion.
As if that wasn't proof enough of the branding power of a nearly 40-year-old fictional universe, the novelization of the game topped the New York Times bestseller list during its first week of availability.
