Another day, another disappointing feature delay for Sony: LittleBigPlanet won't ship with the vaunted online creation mode.
A developer posting on the make-your-own-platformer game's official forum clarified a line that recently appeared on LittleBigPlanet's official website. That line read, "We are already hard at work on some cool ideas for the way gamers can interact, including the ability to create levels together online in a multiplayer jamming mode!" This was surprising insofar as this was one of the game's main draws. The developer said that the line was correct -- multiplayer online creation wouldn't appear in the disc version, and would be added at some later date.
So Sony is two for two on letting me down over the past few days, as the feature I thought was most interesting about PlayStation 3's virtual world Home -- online video sharing -- has also been sliced out of the launch version. And now, here's my most-anticipated feature of LittleBigPlanet, pushed back.
